02 / The founder
Before making law his intellectual and professional field, Sérgio Lualri built a record of excellence in elite athletics.
A specialist in the 400-metre hurdles and 4 × 400-metre relay, he was a ten-time São Paulo State junior champion, six-time Brazilian junior champion and two-time South American champion. In 1992, he represented Brazil at the World Junior Athletics Championships in Seoul, finishing 12th in the 4 × 400-metre relay and 16th in the 400-metre hurdles.
He holds a law degree, postgraduate qualifications in Civil Law, with an emphasis on Contracts, and Civil Procedure, as well as a master’s degree in Civil Procedure. He was a substitute professor at the National Faculty of Law of UFRJ and is the author of several legal books.
By bringing together law, gastronomy, culture and human experience, he became one of the pioneers in building and systematizing Gastronomic Law in Brazil and founded the Transnational Institute of Law at the Table.
